Brownie Cookies

Brownie Cookies

Have you ever wanted a cookie but also a brownie at the same time? Well look no further, this cookie/brownie is the best of both worlds.

I’m a huge fan of the Pioneer Woman and she posted these cookies a few years ago and I’ve made this recipe over and over.

I’ve attached the recipe. Just follow it and you’ll make the yummiest cookies ever!

This is my favorite chocolate to use. It’s silky and has a great taste for baking.

When going to melt your chocolate, chop it up. It’ll melt quicker and more evenly.

As I was getting ready to make these cookies, I hollered and asked who wanted to help me. I got a resounding “Not me!” When Dad is home, mom is chopped liver. They’d much rather play card games or be outside with Dad.

Once you’ve mixed your butter and sugar, make sure your chocolate has cooled, and drizzle it in.

Add all your eggs (one at a time). Don’t know why, but it mixes better this way.

Add the rest of your ingredients and mix on low at first, then pick up the speed for a bit. Now this is the hard part. If you ‘re like me, it takes real will power not to grab and spoon and the bowl and just eat the batter/ dough. It’s so dang yummy! (Good thing i’m pregnant, or these cookies would never have been made!)

Bake your cookies (I always always always bake my cookies 1 minute less than what the recipe says, then let the cookies sit on the pan for 2 minutes once they’ve come out of the oven).

Sprinkle your cookies with powdered sugar once they’ve cooled slightly. Don’t let them cool completely. The powdered sugar will stay on better if they’re warm.

Once you’re done dusting, Enjoy!! Funny thing about my family, once the dough was mixed, they all asked for a spoonful. Then when the cookies were done baking, dusted, and cooled, they all asked for one… ok maybe two. I felt like the Hen who asked al her neighbors/friends to help her bake the bread but nobody wanted to until they smelled the delicious end product! Ha!
