Summer S'mores

I tell you what, this week has been a doozy for me. Have you ever had those weeks where nothing really goes to plan and you have to either check yo’self befo’ you wreck yo’self? Well that was me this week. By Wednesday I had to have a heart to heart with myself and put my big girl pants on and change my attitude and guess what, the week got better! Amazing how that happens :) It’s true what they say, “If momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.”

So going on with this week, we’ve finally had some lovely warm weather, so we’ve spent as much time as possible outside. For those of you who don’t know Utah weather, we can have all 4 seasons in one week, no joke!

I found this summer sweet treat a year or two ago when I was on social media and finally made it a month ago. I wish I could remember who I got it from to give them credit but I can’t for the life of me! So…. if anyone remembers this or has seen it before, please tag them so they can receive all the credit!

The kids were outside playing in the kiddie pool and with water balloons one late afternoon and I just knew they’d come in saying how hungry and famished they were and needed a treat nooooooooooowwwww, so I snuck inside and made these summer s’more just in time. They’re super quick and super easy to make!

What you’ll need:

Cooking Spray

Box of Graham Crackers

6 pack of Chocolate bars

Bag of marshmallows (not the mini marshmallows)

9x13 pan or 8x8 pan

1. Preheat your oven to 350 and spray a 9x13 pan or an 8x8 pan if you want a smaller batch with cooking spray. Layer your graham crackers on the bottom of the pan.

2. Grab your marshmallows and layer them on top of your graham crackers. I cut my marshmallows in half, they seem to stay put better and melt better. If you like gooey, add more marshmallows than I did in my picture.

3. Layer your chocolate over the mallows. Add more chocolate for more mess and chocolate flavor, or less for less mess and flavor, get my drill? If you’ll notice, the bottom right s’more, I had two mini 3 musketeers left and wanted to see the outcome. ps- YUMMY!

5. Bake for 10-15 min. or until you’re satisfied with the mallow meltiness. I usually bake mine for 13 minutes. Works perfect for us.

6. Let cool (if you can be patient enough) and then grab a spatula and enjoy the messy deliciousness of summer S’mores! This treat is also great for bbq’s. You can bake ahead and by the time you’re ready for a sweet treat, they’re cooled off but still gooey and delicious!
